Scope and Content Eliza Jones accumulated this collection to document the genealogy of her extended families as well that of her husband, Waldo Jones. Materials include correspondence that documents her daily life and views, financial records, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, and diaries. The collection also contains papers from her and Waldo Jones's extended family. Families represented include the Woolford, Grant, Slaton, Harris, Fitz-Randolph, Martin, Waldo, Winslow, Felder, and Jackson families.

Scope and Content This collection consists of a diary Newman kept as a teenager in which she records descriptions of her life at home with her family, activities at school, and plays that she attended. The diary is signed on the front inside cover by Frances Newman and by her mother, Fanny Alexander Newman. The collection also contains correspondence and newspaper articles about Newman's life and novels.

Scope and Content This collection contains images of the Scarratt family, including Charles F. Scarratt, Jr., John Balsios Scarratt, and Edith H. Scarratt, along with photographs of their family businesses. Included are images of employees of the Scarratt Garage; men viewing boats at the Scarratt Boat Company; and images of the family's garage truck. Of special note are images of family members in class photographs at Ivy Street School, North Avenue Presbyterian School, and Highland Elementary School in Atlanta.

Scope and Content This collection contains scrapbooks from Julius Hayden and Evelyn Whitner, Julius' granddaughter. Julius' scrapbook contains newspaper clippings from the presidential election of 1860 as well as the first year of the American Civil War. Evelyn's scrapbook contains image clippings mostly of women, children, and animals. Also included in the collection are newspaper clippings from the 1930s and 1940s.

Scope and Content Ephemeral items related to the Sons of Confederate Veterans (of which Jones was the national commander), the New York Life Insurance Company, and Central Presbyterian Church of Atlanta (where he served as a ruling elder). Of special interest are scripts and historical addresses from Atlanta’s Centennial Celebration in 1948 and an inscribed copy of Ivan Allen’s The Spirit of Atlanta (1948).

Scope and Content This collection primarily contains letters from Robert Carr to his sister, Virginia (1844-1927), and his mother, Sarah. The letters document his time in the Battery F, First Ohio Light Artillery, including a firsthand account of his involvement in Civil War engagements such as the Battle of Shiloh and the United States Army’s capture of John Hunt Morgan. Scope and Content The collection contains Samuel R. Belk's diary, which contains a page of recordings for every day of 1926. One page includes a newspaper clipping which mentions Samuel Belk by name. Entries focus mostly on everyday family life and religious matters from his work as a pastor at Trinity Church in Atlanta, Georgia. There are also notes on the memoranda pages at the end of the diary consisting of names, addresses, and times of day.

Scope and Content This collection contains include tax returns, articles written by family members, programs, a bulletin, and newspaper clippings. Of particular note are recorded interviews with three members of the Smith family: Leroy Wingate (the uncle of Dorothy Smith Allen), Dorothy Smith Allen, and Robert Stuart Allen. The interviews detail growing up in Georgia during the Great Depression.

In his entries he describes his participation in various sports at the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA), his sister's move to Agnes Scott College, and his reaction to his father's death in 1908.
