This collection consists of a list of casualties suffered by the 23rd Alabama Volunteer Infantry between May 7, 1864, and September 10, 1864, while engaged in combat at several locations in Georgia including Rocky Face Ridge, Resaca, New Hope Church, Marietta, Kennesaw Mountain, and Jonesboro. The list contains the names of the men who were injured or killed and their rank and company. There is a "remarks" column where the company surgeon, J. M. Hunt, listed the place where the casualty...
