This collection contains a family scrapbook with photocopies of a diary kept by Nancy Ann Holt Adams from 1895-1898 documenting family life, the weather, and the death of her first child. It also includes newspaper articles about the family, certificates, photographs, and genealogical information about the Adams family.

This collection contains biographical information about Crawford Long; correspondence, testimonies witnessing Long's use of ether as anesthesia; resolutions by the Southern Medical Association about Long; and lists of books and pamphlets dedicating the discovery of ether to Long.

This collection contains ledgers, appointment books, and other patient related material belonging to Dr. Clarence M. Paine of Atlanta, Georgia. Included are the accounts of Dr. Paines's clients indicating their balances.

This collection contains the ledger used by Dr. M.S. Browne, to record his patients and accounts, in Cassville, Georgia, 1881-1883. Also used many years later, 1917-1940s, by his daughter, Mrs. J.W. Chambers of Mississippi to record poultry operations and accounts of servants, neighbors, and other records of indebtedness.

This material is mainly correspondence concerning the ingredients for medicines used by Cash to treat patients. There are also ledger books and receipts pertaining to his professional activities, including lecture cards for the Atlanta Medical College.

This collection contains Reid McCarty's business ledger. In the front half of the ledger, McCarty documented income received from patients, business partners, and Emory University. In the back of the ledger, he kept tables for incoming and outgoing funds, loan repayments, and monthly bank balances.

This collection consists of correspondence, receipts, business cards, newspaper clippings, and ephemera pertaining to Dr. Robert W. Westmoreland.

This collection contains correspondence from Dr. Samuel Hollingsworth Stout, Medical Director of the Army of Tennessee. Many of the letters were written during the Civil War in connection with military medicine.

This collection contains a manuscript titled Crawford Long's Discovery of Anesthesia.

This collection documents the medical career and practice of Dr. G. G. Chapman. Included are birth records, medical school examination schedules, and prescription notes. Of particular note are business ledgers that record patient visits, payments, and medicines administered.

This photograph collection contains images of hospital physicians, nurses, staff, patients, as well as the buildings and grounds of the institution, including Grady Memorial Hospital, the Grady Memorial School of Nursing, and Hughes Spalding Pavilion. Among the images are photographs taken during special events, such as retirement ceremonies, graduations, Christmas parties, and receptions.

This collection consists of a letter from Joshua Gilbert to his family, a description of United States Army prisoner of war camps in the Civil War, one deed to a cemetery plot, and one clipping from the Atlanta Constitution with Gilbert's obituary.

This collection contains copies of papers relating to Noel D'Alvigny's service as a physician. Included is a form of regulations covering medical fees adopted by Atlanta medical doctors; his diploma; a contract between the United States Army and D'Alvigny as a private physician; an 1865 special order assigning him to duty in charge of a hospital for refugees and freedmen in Atlanta; and a letter extolling his professional and military service to the Confederacy.

This collection consists of articles, newspaper clippings, family history, and accounts relating to Crawford Long and his use of ether as an anesthetic. It was compiled primarily by Piromis Bell, as well as Eugenia Long Harper.

This collection contains copies of articles from scientific journals, newspaper clippings, awards, newsletters, and correspondence. There is also a pamphlet written by Davison titled Self-Examination of the Breast by Women. Included in the collection are a scrapbook of articles on the Tenth Southern Surgical Congress (1939) as well as Margaret Block's programs.
