This collection contains the ledger used by Dr. M.S. Browne, to record his patients and accounts, in Cassville, Georgia, 1881-1883. Also used many years later, 1917-1940s, by his daughter, Mrs. J.W. Chambers of Mississippi to record poultry operations and accounts of servants, neighbors, and other records of indebtedness.

Dr. Reid McCarty ledger

This collection contains Reid McCarty's business ledger. In the front half of the ledger, McCarty documented income received from patients, business partners, and Emory University. Herbert S. Alden medical prescriptions

Scope and Content This collection contains forty-three handwritten prescriptions written by sixteen Atlanta physicians. There are two prescriptions from 1891 that do not contain the prescribing physician's name. All of the prescriptions except one (1918) are handwritten. Noel D'Alvigny medical papers

Included is a form of regulations covering medical fees adopted by Atlanta medical doctors; his diploma; a contract between the United States Army and D'Alvigny as a private physician; an 1865 special order assigning him to duty in charge of a hospital for refugees and freedmen in Atlanta; and a letter extolling his professional and military service to the Confederacy.
