Reverend Richard Colden Ketchum letters

Scope and Content This collection consists of two letters sent to Ketchum about Georgia's Ordinance of Secession. The first is from an unidentified individual who has travelled from Alabama to Georgia in order to sway the vote of the state legislature. His letter praises the passage of Alabama's Ordinance of Secession, and discusses the nobility of the cause. The second letter, from R. Campbell, is strongly opposed to secession. Reynolds family papers

This collection contains an 1877 account book belonging to Thomas S. Reynolds, a printer in Atlanta, Georgia; an 1890 letter from Thomas Reynolds to his daughter in Brunswick, Georgia; a report card belonging to Mattie Reynolds from McDonough Street Female School; an indenture for John Reynolds to serve as apprentice in a chair making company in 1819; and other documents relating to the Reynolds family of Atlanta, Georgia.

The collection consists of family papers, including the Last Will and Testaments of A.G. Rhodes (18 October, 1928) and his wife Amanda Wilmot Rhodes (24 December, 1926). Included are worksheets documenting the dispersal of bequests and legal documents that reference their estate. In his Last Will and Testament, A.G. Rhodes left money to numerous relatives and to the A.G. Rhodes Home for Incurables and Peachtree Christian Church.

Richard Shryock letter to J.B. Campbell

This collection contains a letter from Duke University professor Richard Shryock, the author of Georgia and the Union in 1850, published in 1926, to J. B. (John Bulow) Campbell of Marietta, Georgia. In the letter, Mr. Shryock requested information about Mr. Campbell's grandfathers one of whom, David C. Campbell, was one of the editors of the Federal Union and the other, Richard M. Orme, was editor of the Southern Recorder, both Milledgeville newspapers.
