This collection contains a diary kept by Karl Allquist during the final years of his life in which he recorded his dreams, emotions, and his struggle with HIV. He wrote about the decision to tell his family and friends of the diagnosis, growing tensions between him and his partner, plans to go to Key West, and doctors' visits. He also documents the presence of HIV/AIDS in the media, treatments he received, and developing Kaposi’s Sarcoma.

Kate Hester Robson autobiographical manuscript

Scope and Content This collection contains a 1912 autobiography of Kate Hester Robson, who lived in Atlanta from 1859 until her death in 1914. Robson writes about her moving to Atlanta in 1859 where her family lived in a house on the corner of Marietta and Spring Street. During the Civil War she made a Confederate flag and presented it to General Gordon's first company. Kathryne Gilbert scrapbooks

This collection consists of six scrapbooks and one autograph book. The six scrapbooks were assembled by Kathryne Gilbert. Five of the scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings regarding Atlanta weddings and handwritten copies of the invitations. The earliest scrapbook consists of a daily account of the actions of unidentified people and what they were wearing. The autograph book belonged to Kate Johnson and was a Christmas gift from her brother, Willie G. Johnson, in 1887.

Kenneth F. Murrah Georgia peach farm crate labels

Scope and Contents

This collection contains peach crate labels printed in color from Georgia peach farms and their growers, many of which no longer exist. Labels include company name, grower, and location. Labels depict images of peaches, farm logos, and slogans, an early form of advertisting for market and grocery shoppers. Of special interest is a label from Pearson Farm, a 5th generation peach orchard that was first planted in 1885.
