Administrative/Biographical History
Katherine "Kate" Flournoy Edwards (1877-1980) was born in Marshallville, Georgia. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia about 1935 until her death in 1980. Edwards was a painter and a part time writer of short stories and poems. She primarily painted portraits. Many of Edwards' articles and short stories were published in the Georgia Review, and her poetry in the New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, and others. She published Rhymes for Good Times and Other Verses in 1971. Additional biographical information about Katherine Flournoy Edwards has not been determined.
