Adelaide Ruff McCarty Photographs
This collection is comprised of images of the early development of Ansley Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The photographs were taken by an unidentified photographer. Mr. Solon Zachery Ruff, who was the development’s civil engineer, can be seen, along with images of the home of Amos Rhodes (now Rhodes Hall). Mr Ruff is identified as “papa” on some of the images. One of the images is of an auction of lots in Ansley Park.

Bedford-Pine Neighborhood Photograph Collection
The collection includes images of residents and homes in the Bedford-Pine district of Atlanta, Georgia during the early 1970’s. The images depict children playing in the streets and on playgrounds as well as adults outside their homes. The photographs depict dilapidated and condemned housing in the area, a few neighborhood storefronts, refuse, and scenes of the Atlanta skyline in the background.

Eleanor Hand Peoplestown neighborhood essay and recordings
This collection contains an essay written by Eleanor Hand entitled "A Re-Viewing of Peoplestown" and taped interviews with Peoplestown residents Henry Phipps, Olivia Parks, and Grace Barksdale. In the essay Hand presents a history of Peoplestown's geographical development in relation to the railroad tracks, housing trends, racial prejudice against its residents, the Civil Rights Movement, and her hope for the future of the neighborhood.
