James L. Mitchell papers
The James L. Mitchell collection contains .25 cubic feet of papers in thirteen folders. The greater part of the collection consists of reproductions of articles, memoirs, letters, newsclippings and maps. Some original correspondence of James L. Mitchell is included, but the bulk of the pre-1950 material is photocopied.
James Lile Lemon papers
James P. Wickersham letter and biographical sketch
This collection contains a letter from James P. Wickersham on July 17, 1881 to his wife Emerine written during a train ride to Atlanta from Pennsylvania. He wrote that the trip took 34 hours, including a 5 or 6 hour delay because of engine failure. He speaks of Atlanta as "beautiful and thrifty" compared to the city as he saw it in 1866 as it lay in ruins.

This collection consists of a scrapbook, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and related documents. The scrapbook was kept by Jesse R. Griffin's wife about him and his topics of interest, which included the Civil War, veterans, United Daughters of the Confederacy, President McKinley, religion, and Carrollton, Georgia.
John J. Eagan papers
This collection includes personal correspondence, biographical sketches, news clippings, business records, personal financial records, and property records of John Eagan.
John White Geary letters
These papers consist mainly of photocopies (and some transcriptions) of letters written by John W. Geary to his second wife, Mary Geary, while he served in the Union Army during the Civil War between 1861 and 1865. Some letters predate the war, and others are written by John's son, Edward R. Geary, and sent to his stepmother Mary. The collection also includes an index of correspondence and information on the corps that Geary led.
Joshua Gilbert papers
This collection consists of a letter from Joshua Gilbert to his family, a description of United States Army prisoner of war camps in the Civil War, one deed to a cemetery plot, and one clipping from the Atlanta Constitution with Gilbert's obituary.
