This collection contains an essay written by Eleanor Hand entitled "A Re-Viewing of Peoplestown" and taped interviews with Peoplestown residents Henry Phipps, Olivia Parks, and Grace Barksdale. In the essay Hand presents a history of Peoplestown's geographical development in relation to the railroad tracks, housing trends, racial prejudice against its residents, the Civil Rights Movement, and her hope for the future of the neighborhood.

Elijah Alexander Brown, Sr. papers

The Elijah Alexander Brown, Sr. papers primarily document the operation of Brownwood, the Brown family farm in Gordon County, Georgia. Much of the correspondence is from Elijah's father and mother. A few are letters to Elijah's father and one is to Elijah's brother, George Marion Brown. The legal documents contained in this collection mostly deal with Brownwood, as do the invoices and receipts. Finally, there are Brownwood Farm records and an illustrated storybook.
