Scope and Content This collection contains legal documents pertaining to the life of Atlantan Pierre Soule Ferris (1849-1909). Included is his will and certification of his will, a warranty deed, letters testamentary, a bond for title, and a statement to pay the balance due for property owned by Mr. Ferris in land lots 116, 141, and 142 of the 14th district in Atlanta, Georgia.

Troutman and Battey family papers

Scope and Content The bulk of the Troutman and Battey family papers are legal documents (many from Floyd Country) generated by those families, including deeds of indenture (many signed by Dr. Robert Battey), wills, and an abstract of title to lands in Floyd County. The collection also contains correspondence, the majority of which was sent to Colonel Hiram Bainbridge Troutman, a book of Minstrel song, and documents pertaining to Atlanta society.
