Scope and Content
This collection includes material that documents the civic and social activities of the club. Minutes, clippings, and yearbooks provide details on the club's meetings, flower shows, and civic work. Several scrapbooks are dedicated to individual civic projects including the Tullie Smith House field crops garden and the grounds of the Fairhaven School. Garden plans for the school drawn by landscape architect Eugene Martini are also part of the collection.

The Magnolia Garden Club records include clippings, minutes, newsletters, and scrapbooks, which document the club's social and civic history and activities. The oldest scrapbook, 1922-1949, primarily contains material in reference to Mrs. John (Adelle B.) Harper's speaking engagements and activities with both the Perennial Garden Club (1922-1934) and the Magnolia Garden Club (1935-1949). Three scrapbooks from 1969 highlight the club's community project for the Sheltering Arms Day Care....
