Scope and Contents This collection contains photographs, postcards, stereographs, and slides that document Black American residential gardens, cultural landscapes, and farms, in both urban and rural areas. Also a part of the collection are photographs and postcards of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the Southeast. These images provide details such as garden and campus design, plant choices, farming methods, and land use as well as social and economic conditions in Black communities....

This collection contains scrapbooks that provide details of civic and social activities of the Ladybugs Garden Club. The scrapbooks include photographs, yearbooks, correspondence, and program materials that highlight the club's interests. Flower show programs and awards are also a part of the collection. Of special note are items that offer insight into the club's civic work creating and maintaining gardens and greenspaces for numerous organizations.

This collection contains minutes, clippings, and a report providing details of Atlanta parks prior to the creation of Park Pride. Also included in the collection are conceptual and master park plans and visioning reports which document the work of Park Pride and the communities with which they partner. Periodicals published by Park Pride as well as conference materials from annual meetings hosted by Park Pride are also a part of the collection.
