This collection contains an account book containing construction figures and material descriptions of buildings in Atlanta and elsewhere, including the Georgia State Capitol Building; Inman Building; Austell Building; Fulton County Court House Annex; and the police station and stables.

Administrative/Biographical History
William A. Miles came to Atlanta around 1884 and was a partner in the building and contracting firm of Miles & Horn. The firm constructed the Georgia State Capitol building in Atlanta. After the death of Horn in 1887, Miles became president of the Atlanta Bridge & Axle Company.
