Income tax return - Julius A. Setze, 1926

 File — Box: 4, Folder: 16

Scope and Content

From the Collection:

This collection contains the personal correspondence and memorabilia of two families of two different time periods. The Waddells are the contributors of the Civil War period correspondence which demonstrate in great detail the conditions of the lives of those left at home and of the needs of the soldiers. These letters also demonstrate the role of an officer and the ability to have his wife follow his movements. The later correspondence and personal records were contributed by the Setze family. They contain information regarding teaching school in Atlanta, working for the telephone company and enlisting in the WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service). Also in the collection are newspaper clippings, restaurant menus, and postcards.
