Scope and Content
From the Collection:
This collection of greeting cards was collected by Dr. Amey Chappell and do not appear to have a personal connection to her. The six Victorian die-cut paper Valentine cards have 3-D images that raise from the surface. The motifs of the cards include couples, flowers, cherubs, hearts, and puppies. One card has a date of 1866 handwritten on the back and the rest are undated. Four of the cards are inscribed to "Miss Adams," from various people. One card is inscribed to "Mother" and one is inscribed to "Meryl."
