Scope and Content

This collection consists of images of the Burns Club of Atlanta and Ladies' Burns Club members, as well as photographs of the Burns Cottage. Of particular note is a poster advertising the organization's second annual Cèilidh, a traditional Scottish social event. All photographs were taken in Atlanta, Georgia.

This collection documents the members and activities of the Every Saturday Club, including an exhibit at the Atlanta Historical Society in the 1940s and regular meetings held between 1979 and 1987 at the homes of several members. Of particular note are images of author Anne Rivers Siddons and World Health Organization delegate Virginia Schneider at meetings.

This collection includes photographs and glass plate negatives related to the Ansley Golf Club, J. M. High Company department store, Gordon Street Baptist Church, and unidentified residences and individuals, possibly related to George Carpenter Jones.
