Dr. Jackson used this journal for a variety of purposes over three decades. Starting from one cover the reader finds sections of daily remarks, extensive word studies, a "Daily Journal of Gardening," laundry lists, a reading list on history, and "Facts about the Garden at Henry's Mt...". Turning the volume over and starting from the other cover reveals a "List of Flowers & Plants found at Athens & in its vicinity." Norwood family herbal remedies and recipes

Scope and Content
This collection contains four handwritten pages of cures, antidotes, and cooking recipes used and written by the Norwood family. Many herbs and plants are mentioned by name. Of special note is a letter addressed to "Essie" regarding the remedies and recipes, which also mentions "Cousin Ella" and "Nettie."
