John Henry Durbin papers
This collection contains copies and transcriptions of newspaper articles about Durbin and his brother-in-law, Benjamin Bainum, as well as a roster of their 83rd Indiana Infantry Regiment. Also included are copies and a transcription of a letter written by Durbin to his father about the Atlanta Campaign, which he wrote on the back of a blank prisoner of war ledger.
John Keely Civil War letter and scrapbook
This collection contains a letter from Captain John Keely to John Ryan of Atlanta about the health of Captain Keely and news of friends. The collection also contains a scrapbook of newspaper articles about Keely and a diary he wrote while serving in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.
John White Geary letters
These papers consist mainly of photocopies (and some transcriptions) of letters written by John W. Geary to his second wife, Mary Geary, while he served in the Union Army during the Civil War between 1861 and 1865. Some letters predate the war, and others are written by John's son, Edward R. Geary, and sent to his stepmother Mary. The collection also includes an index of correspondence and information on the corps that Geary led.

Maud Morrow Brown Civil War manuscript and letter from Margaret Mitchell
This collection contains a typed copy of the diary of William Decatur Howell, a Confederate soldier of Oxford, Mississippi who served in Atlanta during the Atlanta Campaign. The diary also contains a short biography of Howell. The manuscript was compiled by Howell's aunt, Maud Morrow Brown in 1931. The collection also contains a letter from author Margaret Mitchell to Ms. Brown regarding the manuscript.
McClatchey family papers
This collection contains copies of correspondence and a journal written during the Civil War. There are ten letters written to and about John George McClatchey; a memorial poem written by Minerva McClatchey after the death of her son John who was a private in Company I, 7th Georgia Cavalry. He was wounded at the Battle of Trevillian Station, and died at a hospital in Gordonsville, Virginia.
