Scope and Content This collection contains transcriptions of letters from Lieutenant Josiah Blair Patterson of the Company E, 14th Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry, A. P. Hill's Light Division, Army of Northern Virginia. Most of the correspondence consists of letters he wrote to his family from Virginia and what is now West Virginia. The collection also includes an annotated outline of the 14th Regiment's organization and history, and the campaigns and battles in which it is known to have participated.
