Scope and Content This collection contains a transcription of a diary written by Lewis H. Andrews of the Eighth Georgia Regiment, Longstreet's Corps. The diary entries chronicle a three week trip of a party of Confederate soldiers from Appomattox, Virginia to their homes in Georgia. This is a transcription of the diary which appeared in the Atlanta Journal May 21, 1904.
