This collection consists of a hospital transfer order, signed by "Jus. T. Johnson" which transferred Lieutenant James B. Wade of Echols Artillery from General Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, to General Hospital in Washington, Georgia.

This collection contains copies of papers relating to Noel D'Alvigny's service as a physician. Included is a form of regulations covering medical fees adopted by Atlanta medical doctors; his diploma; a contract between the United States Army and D'Alvigny as a private physician; an 1865 special order assigning him to duty in charge of a hospital for refugees and freedmen in Atlanta; and a letter extolling his professional and military service to the Confederacy.
