Erna Lee Mason papers
This collection contains an unbound scrapbook and records collected by Erna Lee Mason about her farm and the Mason family. The scrapbook includes photographs, deeds, correspondence, brochures, and ephemera. Farm records document maintenance and finances, such as acreage reports to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and tree upkeep. The collection also includes newspaper clippings about the Spanish-American War, Glover Cleveland’s presidency, and President Roosevelt’s economic policies.

The collection primarily contains seed and nursery catalogs of H. G. Hastings and Company. The collection also includes business records and publications produced by H. G. Hastings and Company. Limited correspondence and newspaper articles provide some insight on the company’s operations. Unpublished manuscripts provide details about the company’s history and the mail order seed business in general.
J. Newton Bell, Jr. landscape architectural drawings
This collection contains landscape drawings of mostly residential projects, but also includes some commercial properties and parks in Griffin and other Georgia cities. Drawings include general landscape plans and plant lists as well as plans for walls, foundation plantings, and traffic islands. Of special interest is Bell's 1940 senior thesis drawing of a country estate for his parents.
J. Newton Bell, Jr. papers
This collection contains articles, certificates, and handwritten notes from the professional career of J. Newton Bell. Also included in the collection are landscape architecture contract templates and plant resources such as catalogs and tree lists. Of special interest is a proclamation by the mayor of the City of Griffin, designating February 17, 2005 as J. Newton Bell, Jr. Day.

The correspondence includes an order for 300 Spanish chestnut trees, sent to William H. Moon of Moon Nurseries in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. Of interest is a description of awards and details of the Le Conte Nursery orchards included in the letterhead.
