Scope and Contents of the Records
This collection contains one card and three letters sent to Idalia Ferguson from family and family friends. The first item is a Christmas card sent in 1933 from Lucille in Ocala, Florida. Also included is a letter written at the William Sloan House in New York by her son Edgar on December 12, 1933. He informs his mother that he is having a good trip despite the cold weather. The next letter was written on July 7, 1961 and is from Idalia’s cousin, Kate. Her letter discusses the arrangements for her upcoming trip to Georgia to visit family. The collection also contains an undated letter from Rose. In her letter, Rose informs Idalia that she learned about the illness of Palma and asks if she can help in any way.
