Administrative/Biographical History
The Darlington Garden Club of Atlanta, Georgia was formed in 1947 to care for and beautify a triangle of city owned land at the intersection of Darlington Road and Darlington Circle in the Peachtree Park neighborhood. The club enlisted the help of Monroe's Landscape and Nursery Company to design and supply plants for the triangle. Other civic projects included a neighborhood traffic light and signage, as well as supporting local area hospitals with donations. The club was governed by officers elected by members including president and vice president, and held monthly meetings.
