Scope and Content
This collection contains memorabilia collected by Lillian Youngs Salter during a trip to Washington, D. C. in January 20, 1937 to witness the inauguration of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Included is an inaugural program; seat ticket for the inaugural parade; menus for inaugural dinners; two letters; three postcards; and three souvenirs.

Administrative/Biographical History
Lillian Youngs Salter was born on March 13, 1920 to E. Bruce Youngs of Geneseo, New York, and Marion Louise Mell of Atlanta. She married Methvin Thomson Salter in 1946. They had two daughters, Louise (1947) and Anne (1952).
