Lambert family papers
Scope and Content
This collection contains financial records relating to the Lambert family in Georgia. Included is a mortgage executed in Clayton County from G. H. Harper to J. F. Lambert; receipts for purchase of mules, rents, debts, taxes, and other commodities; a "Pension for Confederate Soldiers" issued to J. F. Lambert; printed sales receipt form by J. M. Johnson, MD for selling rights to "Economizing Soap," in East Point, Georgia. Also included are laminated photocopies of a purchase order for 4500 pounds of fodder by the Confederate States of America Quartermaster from Susannah Lambert in 1864; and a laminated copy of an Oath of Allegiance to the United States signed by Susannah Lambert in 1865.
