Administrative/Biographical History

Dorothy Hodgson (1899-1996) was born in Athens, Georgia and was a 1918 graduate and valedictorian of Lucy Cobb Institute for Girls. She was active in the Junior League of Atlanta, Egleston Children's Hospital, Primrose Garden Club, Capital City Club, 19th Century History Club, Tallulah Falls School, American Red Cross, and Piedmont Driving Club. She was a nurse's aide at Emory University Hospital during World War IIand a member of Ponce de Leon Baptist Church. She was married to Bolling Jones, an executive in Atlanta.
