Administrative/Biographical History
Susan Ann Clarke Hayes (approximately 1830-1914) was the daughter of Zachariah H. and Elizabeth Mattox Clarke of Oglethorpe County, Georgia. She attended Georgia Female College (present-day Wesleyan College) in Macon, Georgia, and graduated in 1854. Her first husband was George T. Landrum; after he died she married Howard Alexander Hayes in 1863. Susan Hayes' sister Tallulah Clarke (d. 1916) was married to Moses Arnold. Additional biographical information about Susan Ann Clarke Hayes has not been determined.
