The bulk of this collection is Christmas newsletters published by Dante's Down the Hatch. The newsletters detail events that occurred over the previous year with pictures of those events as well as of notable people who visited the restaurant. Also included in the collection are menus and flyers advertising the restaurant.

Administrative/Biographical History

Dante's Down the Hatch was a chain of restaurants founded by Dante Stephenson in 1970 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Underground Atlanta location was located inside of a replica pirate ship where visitors dined with crocodiles swimming in a moat under their feet. The restaurant also featured prominent jazz musicians six days a week. The location closed in 2013.
