This collection contains a journal Robert G. Pruitt used to document his The Atlanta Constitution paper route; a book on the health center for the elderly Kingsford Atlanta Inn News from 1977 to 1979, edited by his sister, Georgia Pruitt; and a Certificate of Recognition for the Kingsford Atlanta Inn.

Administrative/Biographical History
Robert Grady Pruitt (1906-1993) was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to George W. Pruitt (1874-1959) and Grace A. Pruitt (1878-1967). He was the oldest of three children, John E. Pruitt (1910-1962) and Georgia Pruitt (1912-1979). Pruitt graduated from Boys High School, Georgia Technical Institute, and Atlanta Law School. He married Ruby Crockett Pruitt (1908-1997) and they had two children, Robert Grady Pruitt, Jr. (1930-2014) and Jeanne R. Pruitt (1932-1994). Pruitt served as Tax Commissioner for Southern Railroad for forty-five years. In addition, he was the Exalted Ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order "B.P.O." of Elks serving Buckhead Lodge No. 1635, the chairman of the Board of Elks Aidmore Children's Center, and served as the Grand Exalted Ruler of the Elks nationwide from 1964 to 1965.
