Administrative/Biographical History

James W. Busby (1872-1936) was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Marion Busby (1850-?) and Matilda Harper Busby (1856-?). Busby was self-employed as a house painter. He married Dora Daniels (1879-1937), they divorced in 1902, and he married Sarah C. Busby. Busby then remarried Daniels in 1921 and they were together until 1936 when Busby drowned in the Chattahoochee River. Busby had two stepsons from Dora Daniels, S.S. Daniels and S.P. Daniels.
