Administrative/Biographical History

Eloise Quillian was a home-owner in the flood prone area along the Peachtree/Nancy Creeks system beginning in 1955 to 1993. After having her home severely damaged by flooding in 1961, Mrs. Quillian began a 30 year effort to convince government officials to address the impact of development on the severity of flooding in her area of Atlanta. She maintained an active correspondence with state and local officials and participated in several citizen actions groups. Her most active involvement was during the 1970's.
