This collection contains material related to the Fashion Group, Inc., Rich's Fashionata, and the fashion industry in Atlanta. Included in the collection are membership lists, newsletters, souvenir programs, newspaper clippings, correspondence and event planning materials, and greeting cards. The collection is divided into three series: Series I, The Fashion Group, Inc.; Series II, Fashionata; and Series III, Greeting Cards sent to Mildred Jackson.

Administrative/Biographical History
Mildred L. Jackson worked for Rich's Department Store in the 1940s as Associate Director of Public Relations. In 1949, she joined the Fashion Group, Inc., Atlanta Chapter, which was a "non-commercial association of women engaged in fashion work." Among the local group's members were women prominent in the fashion industry in Atlanta. Included in the group were fashion writers from the Atlanta Journal and the Atlanta Constitution, fashion buyers from local department and clothing stores, and public relations and advertising staff of the stores. Mildred Jackson later worked for the State of Georgia Department of Education. Additional biographical information about Mildred Jackson has not been determined.
