This collection contains material collected by Enid Bryan Stephens and John Calhoun Stephens. Items include a driver's license, diploma, certificates, ordinations, programs, stickers, and a newspaper clipping. The collection also includes a program from the Nightingale play, war maps for the European and Pacific Theaters, and a copy of "Saddler's Railroad Time Book for the Use of Engineers and Firemen."

Administrative/Biographical History
Enid Bryan Stephens (1913-1996) was born in Mayo, Florida, to Edward Bryan (1886-1952) and Lillie Stephens Bryan (1885-1973). She graduated from Chamblee High School in 1930. During World War II, she became a registered nurse and served in the United Service Organizations (USO). After World War II, she was active in the DeKalb County division of the Democratic Party, married John Calhoun Stephens (1916-1985), and had one daughter, Anne (1951-). John Calhoun Stephens (1916-1985) was born in Augusta, Georgia, to John C. Stephens (1888-1964) and Lillian Stephens (1896-1976). He earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1937 and his Master of Arts in 1938 from Emory University. In 1950, he received his Ph.D. from Harvard University. Stephens served as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Emory University and was an ordained deacon in the Episcopal Church, serving on the Diocese of Atlanta.
