Lynwood Jester papers
Scope and Content
This collection contains documents from Lynwood Jester's personal and professional life. Included is an invitation to join the United Daughters of the Confederacy, programs from her children's junior high graduations, and a pamphlet from the Atlanta Ladies Memorial Association. There are also programs from Lynwood Jester School of Art recitals (typically held at the Georgia Masonic Temple), her pupils' performance events, a promotional brochure explaining her course offerings, and a letter of recommendation from her supervisor at the Atlanta School of Oratory and Expression.

Administrative/Biographical History
Lynwood Waters (1884-1975) was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She married Robert Charles Jester (1869-?), and they had a son Robert Charles Jester Jr. (1917-2000) and a daughter Carolyn Woodfin Jester (1918-2007). Jester was a dance teacher; she first worked as an instructor at the Atlanta School of Oratory and Expression and later opened her own school, the Lynwood Jester School of Dance. Further biographical information about Lynwood Jester has not been determined.
