Scope and Content

This collection contains one guest register book and two time books. The guest register book, titled "Information Book & Transient Guests Index," is arranged alphabetically by the last name of the guest and includes room number, arrival date, departure date, and account number. The time books include the names of the employees, days worked and absent, total time worked in days, advances and deductions, and balance due.

Administrative/Biographical History

The Henry Grady Hotel, which stood on the southwest corner of Peachtree and Cain Streets in Atlanta, Georgia, was completed in 1924. The hotel was 13 stories high. The hotel was closed and demolished in 1972.
