This collection contains material from multiple Atlanta and National public health community organizations. From Atlanta: the Atlanta Metropolitan Area of Civil Defense, the Community Planning Council, Inc., the Metropolitan Atlanta Community Services, Inc., and the Office of Civil and Defense Mobilization. National organizations include the Federal Civil Defense Administration, the National Safety Council, and the American Social Hygiene Association. Items include a community resources directory, an assembly delegation resolution, and a newsletter from the Community Planning Council, Inc., founded in 1923 as the Council of Social Agencies. From the Metropolitan Atlanta Community Services, Inc., later known as United Way of Greater Atlanta, is a set of by-laws and a census tracts report.
