Scope and Content
The collection contains one report titled The Feasibility of United Arts Fund Raising in Metropolitan Atlanta. The study was initiated by the Metro Atlanta Arts Fund, Inc. and funded by a grant from the emergency fund of the governor of Georgia, George Busbee. The report recommended a united funding approach separate from the Atlanta Arts Alliance (which included the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta College of Art, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the High Museum of Art) to provide funding for local arts organizations.

In 1979, Metro Atlanta Arts Fund, Inc. formed when representatives from Atlanta arts organizations came together to assess the feasibility of collecting financial support from local corporations and foundations. Metro Atlanta Arts Fund, Inc. commissioned C.W. Shaver and Company, Inc., a national fundraising company specializing in arts and higher education, to identify strategies for arts fundraising efforts in the greater Atlanta area.
