Scope and Contents of the Records
This collection consists of a ledger used to track the monthly expenses of the Crockett Lumber Company from November 1910 to January 1914. The ledger illustrates transactions with companies such as Barfield Lumber Company, Fort Wayne Lumber Company, J.R Bennett and Sons, Woodbury Ply Mills, W.O.B. Carter and Son, Sanders Lumber Company, Capital City Club, AJ Moss, and George Miller Lumber Company.

Administrative/Biographical History
David Crockett (1881?-) was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1881. In 1906 he married Ruth S. Stephens (1882?-) and the couple had two children, David and Stephen. They lived at 171 North Jackson Street in Atlanta from at least 1906-1918. In 1909 Mr. Crockett established Crockett DT and Company, which was headquartered at the 4th National Bank Building downtown. The company later became the Crockett Lumber Company. David Crockett was president until at least 1914, at which point the company may have ceased operations. Additional descriptive information about Crockett Lumber Company has not been determined.
