Administrative/Biographical History
The Civil Air Patrol is a non-profit, volunteer organization that serves as the official civilian auxilary of the United States Air Force. The organization was chartered on December 1, 1941 and has continued to be active nationwide. The Georgia Wing headquarters are located at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, Georgia. Below the Wing authority level, Georgia is divided into Groups. Each Group conducts its own training and programs, as well as participating in larger scale training and events with the rest of the Georgia Wing, Southeast Region, and National Civil Air Patrol organizations. Below each Group are local level Squadrons that typically meet weekly for training. Additional biographical information has not been determined.
