This collection contains various printed materials from the Atlanta Bonsai Society which pertain to society meetings, calendars of events, membership rosters, and bonsai gardening how-to articles and tips. Included are publications of the Atlanta Bonsai Society magazine, Tap Root, monthly newsletters for the Atlanta Bonsai Society, and a list of member delegates for the 1973 Bonsai Convention.

Administrative/Biographical History
The Atlanta Bonsai Society is a non-profit organization established in 1973 for the purpose of providing educational experiences in the art of bonsai. Each year the organization hosts or participates in several events to raise public awareness about the club and bonsai. Some of these events include the Spring Show, held in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Japanfest, and the North Carolina Bonsai Expo. As of 2011, the president of the Atlanta Bonsai Society is Denise Beckmann. Additional administrative history about the Atlanta Bonsai Society has not been determined.
