Scope and Content
This collection consists of a copy of the Master's Thesis written by William Harris Bragg of Milledgeville, Georgia. Bragg's thesis is on Governor Joseph E. Brown's army and its activity during the Civil War. Divided into seven chapters, the thesis covers Brown under such topic headings as state rights, the railroad bridge guard, mustering of the Georgia state line, service in Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina, on the Western and Atlantic Railroad, and with the Army of Tennessee.
