This collection contains slides and photographs related to LGBTQ+ history in Atlanta, Georgia, and Washington, D.C. Included are negatives of the Atlanta Lesbian and Gay History Thing's (ALGHT) table at the 1993 Atlanta Pride Festival, where "The Time of Our Lives," an exhibition about LGBTQ+ history in Atlanta between the 1940s and 1990s, was on display; slides of the 1977 protest in Colony Square against Anita Bryant during the Miss National Teenager pageant after she was named as "America's Greatest American" by the pageant contestants; the 1979 National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights; and photographs of Throop and Wasson wearing their wedding dresses for the "The Wedding" demonstration during the 1987 National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights. The collection also contains an image of the Prince George Inn, a gay bar and restaurant that opened in 1964, and individuals marching in response to the Atlanta Child Murders (1979-1981). All images were taken in Atlanta, Georgia, unless otherwise noted.
