Series II: Board of County Commissioners, 1880-1995, undated

 Series

Scope and Contents

This series contains documentation from the Fulton County Board of County Commissioners from before and after it changed its name from Board of County Commissioners of Roads and Revenues in 1968. The department oversees Fulton County government. The bulk of materials in this series are minute books from regular and special sessions that document resolutions, committee management, and petitions. Each volume contains an index at the front. Also in the series are subject files collected by the clerk to the commission, who manages retention and preservation of county records. These files document the clerk’s and County Commissioners's work, correspondence, budget information, and legal proceedings. In addition, the series contains publications, such as newsletters and annual reports; roads and bridges construction documentation; two audio reels from Board of Commissioner meetings; a binder that contains information about county organization; and specifications for the construction of East Point Health Center.
