Rausenberg, Hopkins Street, Atlanta, GA, approximately 1920
Scope and Contents
In addition to designing single-family residences, Leila Ross Wilburn also planned multi-family structures. Most of the photographs in this series depict two and four-family homes and apartment buildings she designed during the early part of her career. Images illustrating two–family dwellings are indexed by last name, presumably of the builder. Wilburn also included street names for images of two-family apartments in her index; however, some of the names provided have unclear origins. There are no plan numbers associated with these photographs. Images of four-family homes and apartment buildings are not indexed. In addition, this series also contains images of Wilburn’s single-family residences, some of which are identified by plan number. The final group of records consists of color slides of structures built by Barbara Crum and Merill Elam of Heery & Heery, Architects & Engineers, Inc.
