Scope and Content

This series contains architectural drawings consisting of residential, commercial, religious, medical, and educational buildings. Some of the more well-known residences by Shutze and his associates include homes owned by Edward and Emily Inman, Winship Nunnally, and May Patterson Goodrum-Abreu. Religious places of worship include The Temple and Glenn Memorial Methodist Church. Medical institutions include Emory University Hospital and Piedmont Hospital. Commercial buildings include Southern Bell, Howard Theatre, and Rich's Department Store. The collection also includes designs for proposed buildings, which were never built.
