This collection contains one company journal kept by the Atlanta Fire Department. The journal was kept in accordance with the rules for maintaining a company journal, spelled out in the front cover of the journal. Items to be recorded in the journal include: special duties performed by each member, delinquencies of officers and members, reports transmitted, alarms received, runs made, time of return from alarm, reporting back in service, apparatus out of service, changing hose, sickness of men, tardiness or absence without leave, collisions or other accidents, drills, and receipt of supplies.
