Scope and Content
This series contains audio tapes of the Living Atlanta programs broadcast on WRFG and research materials compiled by staff to aid in production. Topics covered in these programs include race relations, public education, blues and country music, public education, the Great Depression, Prohibition, railroads in Atlanta, historically black colleges and universities in Atlanta, medicine, the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce's 1926 Forward Atlanta campaign, and the Great Fire of 1917.
Research materials include research notes and correspondence. Much of the material consists of handwritten notes on significant events and issues that will be covered by each program.
