This collection contains material about the founding and early operations of the Atlanta Arts Alliance. Material includes meeting minutes, correspondence between members of the Alliance, press releases about the Atlanta Memorial Cultural Center, financial records, and issues of the magazine Atlanta Arts and other articles. Topics include fundraising efforts, financial planning (particularly raising money for the Memorial Arts Center), and community outreach. Of particular note are materials regarding the founding of the organization, including the 1965 charter, a blueprint of the A-flame logo, and a report from 1963.
