This collection consists, primarily, of the writings and research of C. Mildred Thompson: both academic and popular magazine articles; letters she received and sent; and speeches she delivered. Correspondence to C. Mildred Thompson includes letters from several historically prominent individuals, including Senator John Kennedy; President Franklin Roosevelt; Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt; and cultural leaders including Harpo Marx; Cecil B. DeMille; and Archibald MacLeish. In addition, files contain notes and outlines for history lectures on subjects of 20th century United States, with particular focus on World War II and the Yalta Conference.
